hi all

I've just read a very good little book about recent struggles in South 
Africa - "We Are The Poors: Community Struggles in Post-Apartheid South 
Africa" by Ashwin Desai. It mainly deals with the struggles against high 
water and electricity prices and cutoffs but also a couple of important 
strikes. One chapter was co-written by Peter van Heusden, who is/was? on 
this list. Why didn't you plug such a good book Peter? :) It's published by 
Monthly Review Press. An article by Desai - "Neoliberalism and Resistance in
