Steve, here in the US, the two "main" demonstrations
will be in New York City and San Francisco.  The San
Francisco one will be on Sunday, instead of Saturday,
due to the fact that aSaturday march would conflict
with the Chinese New Year celebration.

The New York event is going to be interesting
and could be "hot".  The police dept has refused a
march permit for the demonstration (although they will
allow a rally), but most people, even those who are
usually quite moderate, appear  determined to march.
Expect fireworks in the Big Apple this weekend.

I, of course, will be attending the demonstration here
in San Francisco and, of course, if any listmembers
want to join me there, please do contact me.
