Agreed. That strategy involves organizing autonomously and creatively, creating 
parallel and decentered networks of political mobilization, doing stuff, 
thinking about stuff and generally having a riotous good time. I just fail to 
see how worrying about these dicks is going to do us any good. 

I am not hoping they'll go away. I know they will. There is zero chance of any 
significant slice of the US population turning into supporters of North Korea, 
and if for some reason that happens, it would be a wonderful spectacle (from a 
distance, of course.) 

If it should happen that ANSWER becomes a serious problem - ie. if it becomes a 
more pressing problem than the Democratic party, the Sierra Club, the bastards 
who run my university's postgraduate funding system and foul tasting beer, then 
sure, we should do something about it. Maybe you can elect yourself to be the 
weatherman on the lookout for this particularly unlikely storm, which I agree 
would be serious if it ever came. My argument is not in favour of ANSWER (or 
similar nasties) but against wasting time on them; I guess from what you have 
written you are a clever person, and I would say it is a shame that you should 
waste it on this dead end.

As for messianism, hey, it's worked for Bush.
