Kommunismus was the official Communist International theoretical organ
for southeastern europe, published from early 1920 to mid 1921 when it
was shut down by order of the International. As such it was certainly 'a'
but not 'the' "focal point for the ultra-left currents". Best account I
know of in english is in Chapter 7 of Andrew Arato & Paul Breines book
"The Young Lukacs". (1979) Out of print and not on-line as far as I know.
I could try scanning this chapter if you want. (Actually the whole book
is worth looking at if you're interested in Lukacs). Bordiga and
Pannekoek's contribution was limited to the fact that articles by them
were published in the journal. I believe french translations of articles
from Kommunismus have appeared in issues of Invariance and
(Dis)continuite.
