Subject: Re: AUT: AGAINST CONSERVATISM--FOR COMMUNISM From: chris wright <cwright.21stcentury-AT-rcn.com> Date: 03 Apr 2003 00:50:17 -0600 Nah, Floyce, I would rather focus on the criminalization of homosexuality by your piece. This isn't about being PC. It isn't about being for or against homosexuality. It is about linking homosexuality with child molestation, rape, racist violence, etc., ie with violently oppressive behaviour. When strike-breaking law firms use gay-baiting to smear organizers, it is in no small part by making exactly these kinds of linkages between homosexuality and "degeneracy", so why should your comment be treated with less anger? If you said something equivalently racist or sexist, I suspect I would be equally justified, as would Peter, Nate, Tom, et al. And if someone else said something as crass, would you stop and go "Well, that really rotten, racist thing you said is just a side bar to your broader, better politics, so I will ignore it and talk about the other 9400 words." I doubt it, but then again... Chris On Thu, 2003-04-03 at 00:11, Floyce White wrote: > OK, Peter, Tom, Nate.
