Hello all...

Apologies if this is already in electronic circulation. I've just Inter Library Loaned myself a PDF copy of an article from Zerowork 2, fall 1977, on my university's dime.

Domac, Donna, and Phil Mattera: "Developing and Underdeveloping New York: The 'Fiscal Crisis' and the Imposition of Austerity." (2.85 MB)

It's pretty solid, or at least the half of it I've read is. It nicely compliments the classic Paolo Carpignano article "US Class Composition in the Sixties" w/r/t the welfare struggle.

Anyway, if anyone wants a PDF copy, please let me know offlist over the next 48-72 hours and I'll send you one.

More generally, for folks outside the academy who are looking for *hard to find* articles specifically (i.e. ones that probably aren't at our library but can be ILLed), our library is undergoing a Reorganization, and our union libary workers are working without a contract; for obscure reasons, they've asked sympathetic students to put demand on the ILL system. So, within limits, here's your chance. Email me offlist with as detailed a citation as you can, within the next week, and I'll try to get a free PDF for you, and support the SEIU local while I'm at it. This is my last chance to exploit this fucking institution before I graduate, so don't be shy.

MJ
