Hi People
There are many kinds of ignorance.
As a retired psychologist who did research in the
mental health and worked as therapist, I can contribute
few cents.

For sure there are some mental problems that can be regarded
as illnesses. These are temporary, recurrent or permanent
disturbances of the regulation of one or few key neurotransmitters.

Like diabetes and other hormonal disturbances, when taken
care of restore the emotional and sanity of these who suffer
these disturbances.

Homosexuality and other deviations in the sexual domain
are a deviation that is of entirely different domain.

It is of the same processes of "mental imprinting" like
these that cause the new born duckling to follow any thing
of the correct size and speed encountered in few hours
after it get out of the eeg.

The same process (though a bit milder) that cause people to
look for intimate partners who resemble the parent of the
opposite sex.

Even the reactionary establishment of mental health re-labled
the homosexuality as personality disturbance and no more
as illness.

Some people lift their ignorance and irrational
fears (phobia) as a flag...

To put together "mental illness" (neurotransmitters disturbance),
alcoholism (addiction), exhibitionism (sexual domain obsession),
and homosexuality (sex imprinting) is a bit more than regular
ignorance.

Well, he may add that few of his best friends are homosexuals...

Surprise surprise.... The bold commitment to ignorance.
Though genetic tendency is involved, like most other
tendencies of bodily systems to get out of balance,
it is not so hard to prevent the outbreak of them,
and not hard to put back in order when got out of control.

For sure in oppressive class society more outbreaks occur,
less people are helped to regain balance, and the methods
used stinks.

It seems the objection here is not only to the institutions
but to the stable intimate relations between partners
and between them and their siblings.....

No, it will only result with head tilting...

But if you correctly pointed that the homosexuality
is a deviant sex imprinting resulting from harassment
of sexuality of young children and teens by the
common "socialization processes" it wouldn't have raised an
eyebrow.

I wonder if such opinions are regarded compatible with
autonomous marxism or any thing which is related to
enlightenment.
