Ha, hi there. That commentary was based mostly on a piece I did for 
The Nation, which is at 
<http://www.thenation.com/doc.mhtml?i=20040322&c=5&s=cavanagh>. 
Basically the argument is that estimates of outsourced jobs in the 
U.S. account for only a small portion of the jobs gap in the recovery 
- about 300,000 or so outsourced jobs vs. a deficiency of 8 million 
jobs (based on historical recovery averages).

This morning's report of 308,000 new jobs in the U.S. in March may - 
*may* - mark the end of the jobless phase of the recovery. We'll need 
a few more months to tell.
