Subject: AUT: the terminal

Anyone seen this movie the Terminal? Went with my lady friend tonite.
It's very Hollywood, but the basic idea of the story is very
compelling - a coup occurs in man's country of origin, while he is
flying to the US, rendering him without any state. He ends up just
staying in an airport terminal. My head is swimming with thoughts of
Agamben and Negri - bare life, nonplace, etc. There's some scenes that
my cynical ironic self can't take seriously but the solidarity of
service workers in the airport is a key to the plot and the
protagonist's eventual success. I heard it was based on a true story.
Can anyone confirm or deny?

Nate
