Yeah, I saw it during a Godard season at the local
arthouse cinema.  It's not got a different title but
had an English subtitle (Pierrot the flame I think).

"That movie's great because it shows how we each tell
a story
to ourselves about our being. That story is a type of
signifying chain
that gives meaning to the things that we do. The great
thing that
Goddard takes advantage of is however the freedom that
telling ones
own story allows."

Oh, THAT's what it was about!  I'd always wondered - I
could never make head nor tale it...
