Subject: Re: Simon Ford's article



Doesn't he imply that the avant-garde project has lost a focus - in fact
that it has failed its original intent - that of dismantling the institution?
I feel that Ford reveals a pessimistic tone throughout the article until the
very last concluding statements where he then projects some hope. I feel 
the same- it seems that the project as a whole has failed, but at the same
time I am intrigued and enthusiatically wait and ponder for a contemporary
model.
