Let=me introduce myself: I;m the  General Editor of The Critical Voices
Series for
                                 Gordon and Breach Publ. Group, USA, Art
Editor for BOMB Magazine.
        Co-editor of Lusitania and presently contribute to World Art (USA),
New Art Examiner (USA), ART Press (France), Neue Bildende Kunst
(Germany).Since 1989  I have taught at  New York University:  Critical
Studies ( in the Studio Art Program). My  courses have included; A
Redefinition of the Avant  Garde, Critical Models since i962, Painting
After the   Readymade and The Theory and Practice of Modernist  Painting as
well as Studio courses in painting and drawing. Since 1992   I havew also
taught     Ideas In Art at  The School of Visual Arts:


I'm presently  working on re-evaluation of the historic Avant Garde as an
agent of Bourgeois cultural maintainance rather than as a form of
opposition in lightof it institutionalization since the late '50's.
