That's what you hear hanging in the FIT lobbies on West 27th Street, where some of the brightest designers in the Galaxy are training in haute-minded bas-mishapery of the walking dead and wannabe Immortals. A few days ago the ebullient chat there was Disney's call for cyber-costumers of all design stripes (archi, interior, couture, accessories, film, you name it) to dress the actual and virtual Beauties and Beasts aborning in the titanic board rooms and creative conferences. The youngsters were clapping and dancing that NYC is soon to replace LA as the locale most prostheticized for B&B, cyber-enhanced private parts via rich, public architecture (and, yes, don't waste time, just fuck the poverty-drenched arts which do not generate enough economic opportunity). --- from list avant-garde-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
