well
if you think of truth as "the way things are in actuallity," a sort of
platonic truth that exists on its own with or without our input or
awareness, then our affirmation or acceptence of truth's existence would
only bring truth into recognition, but could get along fine without us.

if you see truth as a human construct that places the values of accuracy,
reliability, repeatability, etc. on statements about things. then the
affimation of our existence, in turn, affirms this kind of contingent
truth's existence; Does that affect "the way things are?"
I dunno.
