Hello Douglas

For quite some weeks now I've been a lurker on the list.
My computer was working badly, and was so busy with everything else.
I found time to replace it a fews days ago.

Last november I did an Art installation about Canada's-Quebec love - hate
relationship
and found your statement about Canada quite interesting.

Could read more about it.

Have a nice day

One of the problems with Canada is that the national structures that were
established to resist American encroachments are highly over- compensatory,
and maintain their own often very limited (& inherently conservative)
standards of assessment. These structures are actually beginning to break
down, under the pressures of a recent free-trade agreement with the United
States, & the free flow of information (most of which also comes from the
United States). Ironically though, arts funding remains one of their major
zones of deployment...
If anyone reading this is interested in receiving copies of my published
writings on this or other subjects, I'll be only too glad to oblige.

              Douglas Ord
