Some of the contemporary texts I'm using are Barthelme's The Dead Father, Gardner's Grendel, Barth's Chimera, and Niven's Inferno. What I'm missing are examples of epics or parodies of epics in which the epic hero is a woman? Any suggestions? --- from list avant-garde-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
