to  one day  subsume all media -- the digital with its code of 0-1 has the
potential of being a universal medium.   What you propose here is that the
present state of affairs will remain a constant one yet this has already
been revealed not to be the case.  One can produce a photo without a
camera, htis is not a condition that effects the medium but one that both
dissolves and consumes it.
