Madame Buci-Glucksmann is a joke! I met her in Paris last year when I
participated in the Practice of Abstraction Symposiun organized by
Catherine Perret. She does not know the difference between a map, a model
, a schematoc and an an outline, readily collapsing one into within the an
overally general notion of depiction. Her understanding of such simple
Deleuzean concepts as the nomadic, trajectory and lines of flight tend to
be stylistic whenshe is not merely parroting them. She consistently turns
Deleuze (who she will quickly inform you she knew) into a modernist dogma,
one that will displace and negate all others rather than account for them.
In other word she is a modernist dressed in the jargon of POMO. She told
Shirley she could not cite Adorno along with Deleuze, because Adorno is so
identified with Modernism. How un-Deluzean of her to set up such an
opposition.
