I'm wondering whether this notion of linearity has more to do with
History than with Art. Art has traditionally been a recursive endeavor
wherein the feedback operates on the micro/internal/creative level as
well as in the macro/societal/appreciation arena.
And haven't you heard? Our previous government told us that we have
reached the end of History. (Expect the apocalypse?) Kinda' reminds of
another term at the beginning of that era: devolution. It's time to bury

your endowment into something bigger than any government plant.
