The mentioned bulletin is the Amanita e-zine, edited by Industrias
Mikuerpo. There's a lot of stuff going on in Spain, Blissett is promoting a
"Huelga de Arte" [Art Strike] in Barcelona and the multiple name is
thriving on a new movida of radical on-line activism. Perhaps catholic
countries are fitter to the popularisation of LB as a folk hero... Let me

THE "BACK-DOOR" EFFECT
Information against information. LUTHER BLISSETT FUCK WITH/TO MEDIA

I, Luther Blissett, although I don't believe to be responsible of this
action, I am the true inspiring, instigator and inyuctor of the
video-fanzine in limited edition "FUCK (WITH) THE MEDIA", intervened
by the police in the mail offices where it expect to be distributed,
because it contents images on the human side of an inhuman boss of the
communication.
Although the informer, assisted by their pack of spies and infiltrators,
succeeded in intervening most of this edition, some copies succeeded in
reaching their objective and explode in the the enemy agency. The newspaper
"El Pais" have dosed this information in order to don't incur in a possible
crime of libel that could never be, or in order to avoid a possible
"boomerang effect" that disolves the prestige of all the structure of
information on which is sustained the Spanish politics. In fact "El Pais"
only have utilized the new to "stand out the unequal treatment" given one
of the PSOE deputies that paid their erotic private sessions with public
money (12-11, p. 14). At the same time it was diffused, from very specific
epicenters, the video-fanzine contents, today well-known by the people,
according to the formulation of the conspiracy: the director of the enemy
newspaper, clothing with delicate and tradicionally feminine underwear,
panting of pleasure at the sodomization rhythm that practices him a
prostitute that has been arresting by the police.
This action is explained better by more widely and profoundly tactics
that the mere accusation of some acts that, from our point of view,
they have much more of agreeable that of indictable. For the same
reason, we don't want to make a good service to their competitors in
the abusive use of the information, today fighting in politics matters,
neither to whom from our dark recent past keeps any bitterness against
the person that spent their life in the political administration of the
informative garbage generated by the corruption of the others.
Knowing the sexual inclinations of our democracy and public morale leaders
don't indispose us against them, but exactly the opposite. The unaffected
people also practices them, included more imaginative!. All what this event
offer us is an interesting psichoanalytic profile of the personage that in
any case could become to explain their verbal pathologies. The refinement
in the sexual enjoyment and the search of alternating pleasures no longer
is a monopoly of the `high classes', neither the power heve inscribed in
the sex of brutal manner only for them. In consequence, from a purely ethic
consideration ethic, we could not understand the necessity to hiding a news
that, far of implicating it in no crime, could make publish a dirty tactics
of their enemies juridically impeachable.
Actually, in Spain the sexual enjoyment in any of their expressions is not
contemplated like crime, except in situations of evident exploitation that
the justice is accustomed to pass. It is said that Spain is a tolerant
country in questions of sexuality, and that never a matter of this type
has transcended until the point of bring down to a public personage like
it happens in England. The glamour has found a favorable field in our culture
and has invaded the communication media, like in a spectacular and massive
recreation of the elitist "Movida" in which milited our personage. On the
other hand, the interference in the private people life is contemplated like
crime and with more reason the public diffusion of material gotten of this
manner.
Without a doubt the director of a great newspaper that is erected in defender
of the public morale against the violations and the corruptions of the
socialist
politicians, the same that knew how to detect on time the molecular diffusion
of a fanzine and that is an expert in managing tactically not only videos,
but phones interventions tapes, foods of work, exclusive confessions, occult
microphones, information gotten by unsuspected means that they suppose the
habitual deal with deliquents and mafiosos of the politics and of the
formal crime,
he, we say, he should know many of it.
 This conspiracy action reclaims the inheritance of the artist in their
revolutionary expression, their sense doesn't reside in the specific act
that it report, but in the series of contradictions that it discover. It
is not the question of any Person converted in victim of the monster that
he has generated, objective of their own traitors with their same tactics,
neither of denouncing how it smells the arsehole to this scatomano of the
others, but of warning that a node where they cross the power, the information
and the economy explodes showing their lie.
The objectivity is not possible where the interest are played. The practiced
censorship by Pedro with the concerning to this news is not a censorship less
real than the one which they practiced the dictatorial censors neither than
practiced daily in the communication mefia. If in the first case are tried to
hide looks of the own personality that you/he/she/it are not interested in that
they transcend, in the last are tried to hide looks of the own administration
that are not interested in recognize. In both cases there is serious interests
in game and these interests converge in this specific episode. When you are
tried
to use politics or commercially the information, the media reclaim absolute
expression liberty. So they impose us the private life of people that
previously
has renounced it previous. Imposes us the consumption of the private life
of the
public personages, and not informs us of the foundation of social centers, with
the argument that the one which the people desire to read is the one which
is news.
The final sense of this artistic intervention resides, therefore, in denouncing
the autoreference of the media that makes them incapable of objectivity.
Returning their own tactic against them, Luther Blissett has unmasked the
falsehood
inscribed in their foundations like sign of dominance. At the same time, we
wanted
to show to the public opinion how hundred copies of a fanzine could produce
a social
commotion if it affects key points and succeded a correct mediatic
amplification. We
refused to admit that the product of the reflection of the people were less
important
than the powders of the nynphomaniac princess or of the gay prince, for exemple.
LAWS ARE APPROVEN THAT THEY JUSTIFY THE  USE OF VIDEO-CAMERAS AGAINST THE
PEOPLE,
BUT THE PATRONS OF SPECTACLE REFUSE TO BE FOCUSED. A BRUTAL WORLD
SUBVERTION HAS
CONVERTED US IN SPECTATORS OF OUR OWN ESPECT.
And also:
THE POLICE HELICOPTERS RECORD MANY SCENES OF CURRENT PEOPLE SEX, BUT YOU,
SECOND
CLASS MAN, ONLY WILL BE IN THE NEWS WHEN YOU KILL SOMEBODY.
