Hi,

This is addressed to Kristoffer. Sorry but it seems my cut and paste is not
working to well so I'm going to try to recreate your qoutes.. If i screw
anything up--be sure to lambaste my ass!

>I think it rather a funny forum this, the bourgeouis discussing the fall of
the bourgeouis, the theorist discussing the transcendence of the theory they
themselves are sustaining.>

Yes it is always good to attack a list servs membership for who and what you
believe them to be and then neglect to state who you believe you may be and
why you feel so superior?

>Subversion dos {sp} not equal confrontation.>

Well maybe not--but it may also bring results where in-your-fucking-face
tactics wouldnt!

>the goal of art does not have to be revolution {sp}, for it to cause one>

Name one piece of art that caused a revolution--besides the masterpieces of
Jacques-Louis David who incited the French revolutionaries (and invited
disaster) I'm at a lost for art that has caused a revolution--maybe a series
of works that led to shifts in societal attitudes or conceptions of reality,
but for a *piece* of art to cause a revolution? But then we have long heard
the claims "art for art's sake", and that should be the goal of all art, but
that doesnt still justify your statement--even david was creating his art for
another reason.

After that Kristoffer you started to lose your spelling/grammar skills. I
understood your criticism of absolute theoretical/political systems that
sought to impose their values upon artistic creations--but you leave out (or
ignore) those who actively use their critical/theoretical thinking to help
expand the possibilities of artistic understanding. Once again my interests
are in literature so I will give examples in my field-- Raymond Federman,
Ronald Sukenick, Lance Olsen, Larry McCaffery, and Mark Amerika.

I will refrain from commenting on the latter parts of your post--they have
ideas attempting to push pass the germinal stage--but your obvious incoherence
and incompetence is just to much to stomach.

But thanks anyways Kristoffer--because I am happy to know you are leading a
life somewhere else.

Peace friend,

Thivai
