Ho ho.
Artists *are* magicians. They were *the* magicians creating images on cave
walls and ceilings, creating images of gods and demons, from their own
minds, for centuries. Then closely associated with the christian
mythologies and the suspension of belief that most religions require. When
the magic of psycoanalysis came along the artist was there to reveal
his/her own id and subconscious. From stonehendge to the bruho Picasso
artists *have* been creating something from nothing.
