in book culture it was often finacially impossible for a commentator to re-produce
the artwork they were discussing and had to rely upon the reader's experiences...
untrue in html internet program publishing
a reproduction of the bit of music or art object or a video clip can be
incorporated into the "paper" without much difficulty or expense (except perhaps
'expense' calculated in download times).
there is no longer a need to rely so heavily upon written language to describe
what cannot be described by written language.
