Artistic oblivion and philosophical curiosity will, I suggest, be their

The advent of virtuality undermines the anti-retinal tendency of any
'art of ideas'. Soon it it will be possible to scribe in the text
describing the decontruction of any conceptual construct, and have the
software automatically put the visual realisation onscreen in seconds.
Of course in the 'pro' or 'developers' version there will be a variety
of manual and pre-set 'aesthetic modes', allowing 'levels of beauty' to
be fine-tuned according to the cultural prejudices of the practitioner.

Imagine if Van Gogh had had a 'perspectivecheck' facility sitting up
there on his toolbar.....
