I would also suggest Sandman on Vertigo, written by N. Gaiman, (actually anything
by Gaiman) also The Enigma, The Extremist, HellBlazer, ages -by Dave McKeon ( who
is one of the best graphic artists in this genre) and if you're interested e-mail
me and I'll rack my brains for more.
