Subject: hello to list Date: Mon, 13 Sep 1999 16:44:23 -0500 hello everyone- i just added myself to this list and wanted to introduce myself to all of you. i'm a junior studio art major at UT-austin. well, technically, i'm a sophomore. ...but that's a long story involving my horrendous freshman year as an electrical engineering major. anyway, i've had the core classes UT requires (drawing I and II, and 2-d and 3-d design) and this semester i'm taking beginning painting and beginning lithography. despite my schedule, i'm actually most interested in (and feel most confident and able in) sculpture. maybe NEXT semester i'll be able to get into the sculpture class. are classes this full everywhere? here at UT, every section will be full midway through the seniors' registration period. pretty much the only way you can hope to get into what you want is by waiting for add/drops and coming for the first few days of class in the (unlikely) hope that the teacher will let you in.
