Cage - I knew I was onto something here :) There will be a "Cage week" 3/26 through 4/2 in Utrecht, Holland: music, lectures, discussions, films. Still, it is not only Cage I don't think. This attitude pertains to jazz musicians as well as to certain styles of painting and poetry and by definition to the essay. The art of failure should especially be allowed for on discussion lists, however, it is my experience that I am often asked to substantiate my every utterance.
