There are differences in reproduction and distribution but ownership is
still in force; you carve something out of stone, you carve something
out of code. No? Commercially, it should work like that, you steal my
code, I come to your house with a chainsaw. 

Typography contradicts that model, there are more typefaces than ever
now though it's impossible to get paid for making type -- Zuzanna and
Rudi are surviving I hope nevertheless.

Maybe the new model will be products that are made for the fun of being
clever and artful, no rites reserved.
