Date: Thu, 10 Jan 2002 07:03:21 -0600 Subject: tema celeste tema celeste new look for the new millennium tema celeste's international edition marks its first anniversary with a bold new look, featuring new interior graphic design and a striking new logo. The new layout reflects its evolution but maintains the unique spirit and identity of the magazine. What remains the same is the high quality of the material, printing, and illustrations, as well as the content: fascinating essays and reports on the contemporary art scene today. The cover of the January / February issue, which is out now, is dedicated to Elger Esser's vast, endless landscapes: expansive images that prove the vanishing points of the natural world. From the perspective of a few months^Ò passage since the tragic events of 11 September, Simona Vendrame, Arthur C. Danto, and Lawrence Rinder discuss the state of art. In an interview, Yoko Ono talks about the key phases in her career; Robert C. Morgan reports on the current attention in the creative process to a handcrafted aspect; a monographic essay introduces us to the feminine world of Anna Gaskell, following on from an article that gives a panoramic view onto the Lithuanian art scene. Other interviews fill us in on the artistic practices of Adrian Paci and Miguel Calderón. In the ^ÓSelf-portrait^Ô section, Frank Bauer, Stephen Hughes, Domenico Mangano, and Giorgio Frassi present their work, while the "Profiles" are dedicated to Doug Aitken, Elizabeth Peyton, Tom Sachs, and Fabrice Hybert. In the "Artlife" section, the Japanese author Banana Yoshimoto tells us about herself. What's more, to keep even more up-to-date, you can also consult the "News," "Web sites," "Books & catalogues," and "Art Market" sections.
