A gathering radio outreach is to claim a very important person selected, actually the word used is "conducted," the following music, then restate the attribution before each play. Today I heard the Wash DC classical music station claim Senator Byrd conducted such and such, one by Beethoven another by Leonard Bernstein playing Hoagy Carmichael or was it Rogers and Hammerstein, perhaps Winston Marsalis, well, hard to believe a southern Byrd would conduct Marsalis, Satchmo, sure, but not a high yellow uppity -- is high yellow racist?, sorry then -- the birdman spiel was attention getting, I thought for a moment there was a true conductor who stole the senator's brand to get air-tiume, still, the brazen celebrity sampling was swell, or is this plagiarism by attributable conductor, but then all conductors plagiarize in their odious preening, brow sweating, tux tails aflight, cut curls a bouncing -- seen a cueball bandleader lately, did you know Yanni is shaved bald for the wig to stick during his wiggle -- not to say bald-faced lying radio stations, call them media, hard to swallow that antique roadshow crap, talk-trash-rap, hell why not tell a tall one as if a rare antique assayed on fund-raising road trip, all artists are cultural thieves, else the art is not serious art, but if not true art whose to say in absolutely original opine, think guerilla grrls gone wild tape. Being in Virginia is intoxicating, the passion aroma of national security writhing, bedfellow contracts flowing, everybody hot for the old endless wars culture. Just you wait for high culture to return artists to the pinnacles of the 60s, the 70s, the 80s, the 90s, etc. Wanna tip on what US Veep put a Halliburted Guernica in Site R?
