Subject: The no's to adore in the face of certain deaths Date: Sat, 22 Aug 1998 12:02:37 PDT "At the very climax of joy there sounds a cry of horror or a yearning lamentation for an irretrievable loss." (Birth of Tragedy, 2) "I've often thought that at the summit of existence there could be only insignificance. In fact no one could 'recognize' a summit that would be night." (Bataille, letter to Kojeve, Dec 6, 1937) What is unrecognizable? The "re" that was never passed in the first place or the "un" that is night as death, the Stoic [I am not]. What, where, or when is the sum-it of exist-ins? Is this the self validating experience (not-I and no "ti" spoken, not the to-I)? If so (?), why then is point given such singularity (a hole might be) of importance (if no other was privy-us-ly bestowed)? The love of paradox? Is that but a reason-rebel response? Or the drowning of a final reason (all is said and done), that reason is final, and that finale is purged inwardly as well? At least this second (moment) notes and respects a void in k(no)w-ledge from which nothing spoken in is returned any differently. Perhaps the sum-it is a call to one's plunge tempered by necessary separation (it would not be otherwise)? What wisdom it must have? No, what bravery both (by chance) dis-play-sing "NO" L'edge. What loss a-miss-ing? ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
