Oh, for goodness sakes, John. I don't take any pills. Ariosto Raggo always
says that about the pills whenever he thinks that I have been on a bipolar
tirade. It's nonsense. I am well accustomed to being told that I am manic
depressive by list writers. It is nothing to me as long as people do not
think that they are being terribly original or anything. I don't mind it. I
have a swell sense of humor about most anything people can call me including
dyke and bull dyke and paranoid and manic and depressive and manic depressive
and other funny things too numerous to mention here. I have certainly
encountered great wits on email lists.

Six weeks, my ass, Canadian Forest Ranger-boy! More like four months.
Fortunately, I did not know I had it or most of that time. Otherwise, I
certainly would have been a lot more ill than I was. I checked the blood
when I was on the mend. I am almost back to my former level of high
energy--you know, the manic side of things. You want a little taste? I can
hit you broadside with it, if you want. If you think that I have been
improper so far, you don't know the half of it. I have been so stinking
polite on this list so far that it fucking makes me sick.

I can give you Don Rickles on LSD if that's what you want. I can shut this
little outhouse of a list down so fast, it'd make your head swim. All I have
to do is let 'er rip and, trust me, you're done for.

(Luke Pellen has begged me to thrash him but I can't do it. Too much like
child abuse. Bataille or not; Artaud or not, I just can't do it.)

Hell, no, I don't take no pills. That would fucking take the edge off and,
sorry, but I am not about to do anyone that favor.

Just be sure that you take the B12.

This is the first time that I have known you to mention your wife. Why so
secretive up until now? Do you find marriage to be an embarrassment? I
thought you were all alone up there with the grizzlies and the mosquitoes. I
thought you were a hermit or something.
