Sometimes I imagine posting like a crap shoot, a throw of dice. You
never know how it's going to turn out. Communication in this case
would be without foresight, or hope and one would work more by continous
touch. It would be a sort of feeling one's way about a surface without
guiding light, without an interest in an end. I was wondering why this
list tends towards the cross-breeding of BwO's and acephalic bodies.
Part of has to do with the fact that both Deleuze and Bataille are
philosophers of immanance. It's not surprising that they find this in
Nietzsche since he has a heavy strain of Spinoza in him that no doubt
he picked up from Schopenhauer. One of the question for me is how
does one go about making one of these bodies for oneself? To some
extent it's a question of community, or more precisely of a community
of those without community, a community of solitudes where that which
occurs is the emission of singularities, of potentialities. This
emission can only happen, become an event only through the effortless
effort of active forgetting which interrupts the synthezising
unification of consciousness or memory that forms the I's organs in
a utilitarian manner giving it height and depth, making it interested in
some project rather than indifferently neutral like grass or a hilly
terrain. In the language that Bataille uses in On Nietzsche what
active forgetting would bring about over the years is a letting go of a
care and worry for the future in order that we may come to a full
appreciation of the present, it's richness and plenitude.
