Does anyone on this list have an interest in translating and then posting the interview? I know you all have loads of free time. It's worth asking, isn't it? jc ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Profile Author: baudrillard-AT-jefferson.village.virginia.edu at INTERNET Date: 8/10/95 7:00 PM Hi. I have been listening to the list for some months already and would like to send some kind of profile to it. It hasn't been easy to participate: I am getting used to the sound of Baudrillard in English, and language is somehow a limitation for me. (I apologize for my English in advance.) My name is Enrique Valiente Noailles, philosopher, 35 years old, and live in Argentina. In 1986, during a trip to Paris I met Baudrillard, and we became quite good friends. In September 1992 I invited him to Buenos Aires to participate of a seminar on french thought that took place with other Argentine university professors. An incredible amount of people gathered for this event. I'd like to offer to anyone in the list that could be interested and reads Spanish, an interview that we made with J.B. called "Seduction of language," that I published in one of the daily principal newspapers of Argentina, "La Nacion." Drop me a line and I'll send it by mail. I also have some articles written on J.B. also in Spanish, of course, for anyone interested.
