At Chance,  the worst of the couple of peeves i had was no general Q/A 
sessions for Mr. B.
Something heavily moderated could have been negotiated. Questions on 5*7 
cards, or perhaps joted on playing cards, could have been sorted and 
presented...or dealt.

Transparency and Disappearance

   When a recording has sufficient bandwidth and distortion is below a 
certain threshhold,we say that it is a transparent recording. When TV 
reception is "clear" we could also say that the screen is transparent.
   Is this an apt representation of  your metaphor?
   Is disappearance an assimilation? Into what?
