The national curric' never fails to amuse me, my wife is a teacher at
a special needs school where many of the children in her charge have
little concept of social interaction or indeed language...yet still
the inspectors insist that the lessons be in line with the national
curric'.
Its seems that the teachers of our country are being straightjacketed
by the NC.
The method has overtaken the content and it is perhaps left up to the
individual teacher to shoehorn, the needs of the individual pupil into
the NC frame work. My wife tells me however that the phrase - this
child is working towards the national curriculum - covers a multitude
of sins.

Re Baudrillard

Unfortunatly my philosophy degree stopped somewhere around Macintyre
and Kripke...with a good dose of the usual ancients fro good
measure....completly bypassing Baudrillard et al.

my interest was fired when I was given a book to
review,....'Baudrillard Made Simple'.....
yes I know ...stop tittering...

could any kind person point me in the direction of some releveant
URL's, or some slightly more appropriate reading ?

Cheers
