The French pataphysical group may be the College de 'pataphysique but,
last I heard, it had disbanded. I also heard that the only American in
the group was Roger Shattuck whose 1958 BANQUET YEARS was seminal in
(re)kindling interest in Jarry in anglophone countries. All of this
hearsay was from a long time ago when I did a French lit independent
study class on Jarry. Jarry's most comprehensive explanation of
pataphysics is in GESTES ET OPINIONS DU DOCTEUR FAUSTROLL, PATAPHYSICIEN.
