Hello,

you know that photo in Baudrillard's America, the one that is his
daughter? Well, how do you think B. makes sense of it (If, indeed, he
tries or desires to)? Is his daughter, to him, just an object plugged
into the system of signs? What kind of discussions did they have about
choosing a career/vocation: "Well, my sweet daughter, don't bother trying
to engage in political activities aimed at silly notions of transformation
and all that crap that evaporated in 1968. No, your dear old dad has some
advice: give up, be seduced, let the system implode [Hey, doesn't this
sound like an advertising slogan?]."

Any thoughts?

Robert
