25/1 from 1984.  Pieces by Annette Kuhn and Jane Feuer. You could also
try Imitations of Life a reader of film and television melodrama ed
Marcia Landy. 1991. Kaplan's Motherhood and Representation: The mother
in popular culture and melodrama....
