A form of pornography, the media has become pornographic at 50-60Mhz.... It occurs to me that the overt nihalism of JB in the text is not dissimilar in some ways to Lyotards' version of difference. In that all values (differences) are subsumed in the version of globalisation, universalisation which we accept, endlessly, that we have no alternative to... Is JB like Lyotard also arguing that the great themes of modernity have become insignificant and failed...
