Count me in for the reading group. But is the intention that we concentrate
solely on Bhaskar's own work or that we examine it in the light of
subsequent critiques? On this issue has anyone seen the piece by Suchting in
Radical Philosophy 1992 (61)? And, is it just me or has he really understood
nothing? It's a classic case of paper-tiger hunting. Where is this man
coming from? Is he a neo-positivist? 

On Bhaskar's prose, I think yes it can be very clear (the preface to PLato,
for example, I think is brilliant), but equally in places he can be almost
impossible to understand.
