I can see that it would be a bad thing is, say, a reading group were 
to swamp the discussion on an active list, or divert attention away

project then care would have to be taken to ensure predominantly 
positive effects. Ideally other projects which have been well 
recieved (including the glossary and bibliography) would benefit from 
reading.

Good idea - which articles do you have in mind?

I think *Dialectic* is vastly more interesting and useful than *Plato 
etc.* and would like to discuss it on the list sometime. I also think 
that some "run up" through the early works is probably needed.

BTW: Has anyone here noticed that the new "Oxford Companion to 
Philosophy" has no entry for Bhaskar or Harre, although it does give 
entries for Harry Frankfurt and Robert Fogelin? I think it would be 
well worth this list trying to analyse the resistance to Bhaskar in 
professional analytic circles. Methinks the lady doth protest too 
much...
