Thanks John for the reminder about the Postscript in RTS2; I'd either 
forgotten or missed Hans E's post, and didn't check through my copy of 
RTS2.  I see no problem in people referring to other parts of the text or 
to other texts, especially when it's to note RB's revisions or corrections.

A thought about the RM conference: I'm not sure who has contacted Bhaskar 
(I think just the conference organizers), but perhaps it would help if one 
or two people on this list were to contact him.  I'm not sure how well 
known he is elsewhere, but critical realism could certainly use a boost in 
the U.S.; and who knows, maybe he'll respond to "the call of the masses," 
such as we are.  If despite all, he declines to attend, perhaps we should 
invite someone like Andrew Collier, William Outhwaite, Margaret Archer, or 
Ted Benton?
