Perhaps one day they will raise a monument to secretaries of
revolutionaries and socialists not to mention philosophers, but I'd
strongly advise against holding one's breath in anticipation. 

Now as always I need a favor.  I have been trying frantically (again that
word) to contact Colin Wight.  I need an official invitation from him to
speak at his uni post the conference.  But I cannot raise him.  Now could
you *please*  send me if at all possible a back up invite to address some
group or other - anywhere (London?) on Friday the 5th September.  That will
enable me to extend my trip to get some work done over there.  I need such
an invite by Monday.  I am sorry to ask you to do this at such short notice
when you have got all the other problems to see to but the need is great.

I promise to buy you a beer or whatever.

BTW I will be showing video excerpts from a number of docos and I will need
a VHS video machine.  Other than that an OHT projector would be useful.
