Hi Louis,

I wish I could be of some succour, unfortunately I doubt it. We in Britain used to have this cartoon called the numbskulls. Inside the head of this person were these numbskulls, all discrete little individuals with their own little tasks. Ultimately, I think this is what the pomo subject must amount to - a load of numbskulls - all going, "that's me as a white hetrosexual male, that one over there is me as a groovy Armani-clothed-intellectual, that one over there is me as a father." These "me's" never become a me and recognise the unity-in-the-difference. Remember, its fragmentation all of the way down.
