(I don't actually have anything against good-natured swearing, but nastiness I don't like...) In the past, we had the reading of RTS to structure the discussion over the long run. I liked the reading-group character of the list. I thought that the format was helpful, and I thought -- still think -- that it helped keep us all in check in different ways. In this regard, I'm wondering what we ended up settling on, post-conference, continued protocol-wise? Have we replaced RTS with Dialectic? I know that Gary has re-posted his local group's summaries, but is there a way for the list to get back into a kind of text-based mode, where we're all, loosely at least, working through some material together? Can we post small sections, as we did with RTS? (I know that that was done in part because of how hard it is/was to get ahold of RTS, but I thought it focused things in an important way.) Would others go for this, or is it just me? Warmly, Ruth (I know that I owe a response to Louis, at least, from weeks ago -- I'm awfully sorry, I just can't seem to get myself caught up with day to day commotion.) --- from list bhaskar-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
