            Call for Submissions: IACR Newsletter

The International Association of Critical Realists was formed in
association with the Centre for Critical Realism in 1997 to stimulate the
discussion, propagation and development of critical realism on an
international and interdisciplinary basis. Yearly membership includes two
issues of the IACR Newsletter. (For membership rules and rates, please
contact the Centre for Critical Realism, 49A Saint Peters Street, London N1
8JP, UK. Email: CCR-AT-criticalrealism.demon.co.uk)

The first two issues of the Newsletter will appear in April and October
1998.

Here is the editor's current notion of what should go in (suggestions
welcome):

* a statement of the history, functioning and rationale of the CCR and the
IACR

* reviews/notices of CR books (about 1,000 words)

* review articles re the application of CR in different disciplines

* a current bibliography of CR (last half year)

* info re CR work in progress (theses, books)

* reports on CR events/conferences

* reports on CR activities by region/country

* forthcoming CR events

Please contact the editor as soon as possible if you are prepared to make a
contribution under any of these (or other relevant) headings. If you have
anything ready to hand, please be sure to send it straight away.

Please forward this messaage to any colleagues who might be interested.

The deadline for contributions to the first issue is the end of February.

(The editor apologizes for the lateness of this call, which was occasioned
by technical problems. He is confident you will rise to the occasion and
help make the first issue a success!)
