A classic example of the transitive intransitive/distinction I would have thought. I also said beliefs possess causal power. I fail to see how Tobin can claim that I am slipping past the difference between a concept and its referent. In fact, my post highlighted the distinction between concepts and their referent, rather than slipping past it.
