Hi Colin and everyone,

I think I'm going to have to give it a rest -- Colin, I don't know how to
respond to your last post except to re-send mine! We all agree that there
are real structures, with determinate properties (that change -- no eternal
essences). We all agree that our theories about them may very well be
false. We all agree that the referent of the concept "reality" would exist
without people to so name it.

We just don't agree on whether said structures in nature, "have," in turn,
an additional property called alethia [now, Colin, it's starting to sound
very much as though you do hold (a), from my previous post, viz.,
"Structures in nature have both a real, determinate character and something
else, an alethia (of those structures)", no? But never mind...], and
whether, therefore, we can say that truth is a characteristic of natural
structures and not (just) of propositions.

I'm willing to let you continue in your erroneous ways (!) if you'll grant
me the same.

Warmly,
R.
