I am actually (no pun intended) going to try to sit this discussion out as
much as I can, as I'm still trying to work through the debate over alethia,
but I just wanted to say, for the record, that while I genuinely appreciate
Howie's effort to respond to my request, I hadn't exactly been complaining
about the degree of abstraction.  The comment about prepositional phrases
was more meant as a way of asking if it is not that case that we experience
the presence or absence OF something.  It sounds like Howard sees it this
way, so for now I'll let him do the all the work.
